I witnessed
this romantic morning
the Moon waiting eagerly
for the Sun to rise at dawn,
just so they could be together
for those few moments before
being parted again.

Being the¬†youngest in my family,¬†I was always very close to my mother. I’ve never seen anyone like her, with her¬†immense patience and endless empathy. There’s also her nature;¬†loving and¬†caring (a little too much, I think). I’ve¬†never seen her angry, and she has always been¬†there for everyone. She is the warmest person I know. I have¬†learned a lot from her, because I was always tagging along behind¬†her as a child. That was my childhood. But, after¬†living¬†for as long as I have,¬†I realized¬†that the¬†world is not cut out for¬†such people.

Mom, you told me love is strong

but I’ve found more users than

people who will love you back

And empathy for everyone

has drained and left me hollow

The story of the Golden Goose

is more applicable in this world

I’ve found many hiding their cruelty

in disguise, and pretending

If you care for others before yourself

you are the fool for someone to use

But, I’ve met good people too

I’ve met both, the good and the bad

The good ones have given me strength

to carry on through each day

And those who’re bad are lessons of life

I’m still learning a little everyday

because learning never ever stops.

The world is so very vast, and full of different kinds of¬†people. Yes, the¬†learning never stops. ūüėȬ†So, while I’m busy¬†learning from this world, I too have to help my kiddos see the world, and learn to not lose themselves. Because no matter what you face, you have to –

Be nice, especially to those¬†who’re nice to you

and appreciate all that you’ve been blessed with

Never suppress you individuality

or try to hide among the crowds

Create your world around yourself

and express yourself, don’t be shy!

Make others happy, sure, but only

after you’re happy first

Lose sleep, not over pointless worries

but if you must to fulfil your own dreams

Yes, run! Run after whatever you want

and let happiness catch up with you

Cherish whoever brings out the best in you

and learn to be a friend to your friends

You can make simple moments magical

by spending time and sharing smiles

and, if you need to, then crying

with someone who would do the same for you

Wait for that someone for whom

you’ll be the centre of the universe.

Just My Scattered Thoughts ūüėČ

Hey there, all you 35 ‚Äď 40+ beauties. ūüėÄ Have you started loving your lovely selves yet? Or are you still busy supporting and living life for your dear families, planning your days to meet others‚Äô schedules.. I know I‚Äôve done that all my life, and hell, for all I know, I might still be doing it. I know, creating that special, secure environment for our children is important. It‚Äôs all the more tiresome for homemakers, because there are always a few of those who stick firm to their belief that homemakers are always free (we get no appreciation, nor any payment. :P). I‚Äôm just sharing a few things that I‚Äôve learnt by living my life.
Although you may think that you’re taking care of yourself, you are not. You know that time you set aside for doing something that you really love, which you never really end up doing?…

Just My Scattered Thoughts ūüėČ

Early evening
There I am
watching magpies
return home
In that fading afterglow
comes an unexpected guest
standing, smiling
before my eyes
telling me he has come for me
and that my time is up
Astonished, I say,
‚ÄėBut there‚Äôs still so much
left for me to do! ‚Äė
‚ÄėEven now?‚Äô he asks, ‚ÄėHow?‚Äô
‚Äė. . . I was busy‚Äô I stammer.
‚ÄėDoing what?‚Äô he inquires.
‚ÄėLiving my life!‚Äô I reply.
Amused, he smiles,
‚ÄėThen you‚Äôre done now, aren‚Äôt you?‚Äô
I shake my head. ‚ÄėNo! I‚Äôve lived
fulfilling my duties all along,
saving everything else for later!’
The bonds of society
were hence my excuse
All I’d done was follow the rules
Curious, he asks me
what I still wished to do
Mind racing, I speak
of days spent in solitude
by a river, amidst nature,
skydiving to taste the wind
gazing into my lovers eyes
on the sparkling shores,

What is Reiki? It’s a simple, safe and fantastic healing method, and also helps¬†with personal growth and self improvement. Basically, there are seven chakras in our body. ‘Chakra’¬†refers to¬†vortex (spinning wheel or circle). They are as follows –

1.The crown chakra
2.The third eye chakra
3.The throat chakra
4.The heart chakra

¬†So, here I am once again, in front of my laptop, typing down the thoughts swarming inside my mind.¬†Here goes then.¬†What is happiness? Good question, eh? ūüėõ ¬†Everyone¬†seems to be¬†searching for it, and so am I. I know. This search for happiness often leads to obsession or desperation.¬†

But you see,¬†happiness is¬†not exactly something you have to hunt for, because it’s something you’ll find inside yourself.¬†The first step¬†is to stop worrying about stupid¬†things and¬†focusing instead on¬†taking care of¬†the important things that need your attention. Relaxation and the¬†consequent peace only arrive when worries are dealt with. Then, stop¬†measuring your happiness¬†with¬†worldly possessions. You really can’t buy happiness. You have to create it. Most importantly, understand that more than anyone else, the greatest source of your happiness is yourself. Change is inevitable, come what may,¬†but one person you’ll always have is you.

Smile. Smiling always helps. My helpers have often¬†told me that¬†my smile makes their day.¬†Much earlier, when¬†they had first¬†joined,¬†I recall them being¬†baffled with my habit of¬†blurting ‘thank you’ and ‘sorry’,¬†before gradually settling down following my lead. You see,¬†such common, simple¬†word, paired together with¬†your smile, do wonders!¬†While we’re¬†at it,¬†my hairdresser is always¬†after me to get me to get manicures or polishing treatments or scrubs, and I always give her the same reply that I’d rather not, since beauty comes from inside (really!). If your soul¬†is¬†relaxed and free,¬†you really won’t need any of that polishing, because your thoughts¬†will take care of it. If you must, scrub your soul a little, washing away all those toxic feelings of jealousy, hatred, malice and anger, and let in¬†a little sunlight. Try to see the best in people, and you’ll automatically¬†see the best in yourself.¬†¬†
But hey,¬†it’s not¬†at all as if¬†those beauty treatments are not worth it! It really is¬†great to treat yourself ever so often. Although I haven’t¬†tried them myself, who knows,¬†I might someday.¬†ūüôā
Well, that’s all for now.¬†ūüôā Just know, your¬†smile is¬†beautiful and infectious. So keep that lovely¬†smile on,¬†and laugh bewajah! ūüôā ūüėÄ
